I don't entirely disagree but you boxed yourself in on this one. A cat's natural diet consists of small prey like rodents, lizards, smaller birds, bugs, and eggs. It doesn't include cows, lambs, chickens, wild-caught Alaskan salmon, and all the other stuff manufactured foods are made of, especially not ones modified by human intervention. Those foods can also be fortified or contain preservatives, all of which they're most definitely not "meant to eat."

A lot of cat food brands are also flat out trash, even if they contain meat and all the essential nutrients, including many of the big names.

Meat. Not Meat.

These two things are not the same as eating a chicken instead of a quail.

You are right about most foods being trash. But my cats food budget is literally almost half of my own. Dude gets top tier dry food (after so much trial and error to get him off Purina garbage), and gets raw meat at least a couple times a week.... so that doesn't apply to me.

I feed my cat the absolutely best possible diet. Like he probly eats better than 99% of cat.
