Like just very dry and not much room for interpretation. Could've said like "I wouldn't have asked unless I thought it'd be good" or "well let's find out?" or "yeah it wouldn't be good....you free next Thursday?" or some shit. But who knows, maybe she meant it to be a rejection, I wasn't there. It's possible she was putting herself down. I didn't think of that at the time. Regardless, it was nerve wracking enough for me to even ask her for the number that when I got that response, I just went on auto pilot.
