To be fair, they've added so much to the remakes. The maps are definitely welcome. RE7 hid powerups among the environments. The REmakes are more player friendly.

Because in the old Resident Evil games, the interactive objects were clearly distinguishable from the static image that served as the room you were in.

It's a mechanic to keep thing easily visible.

Sounds pretty half-assed
