A lot of DKC songs aim for the same feel. It's a pretty mellow soundtrack. For me, most kind of miss. They're nice, just dig themselves into a hole where I can't muster much emotion for them. This one, at first, kind of seems like it's going that direction too. The direction it takes at :35 saves it, and manages to reframe the song in a manner I prefer much more 312. They do not improve the song. They do not hurt it. They exist to be ignored (except at like :20 the baldr/exa pico vocals there stand out). Luckily, the instrumental is pretty good.
