Topic	I played ff8 and ff9 on gamepass recently and this is controversial probably

My discs on the PS1 were scratched (don't blame me, I didn't do it) and I always assumed it was due to those scratches. Later I learned, no. It's that slow for everyone. Plotwise though, art style, music, characters, Hot'n'Cold, Cards, story progression etc. It's a masterpiece.
