We are at a pivotal moment of democratic backsliding in this country. If the Dems don't change things enough to reduce the resentment and sense of brokenness in this country, the next Republican takeover we get will be a fascist one. And they will not be able to take the necessary action without getting rid of the filibuster. One bill per year that doesn't include democracy reform etc and is restricted by bogus senate rules and traditions won't be enough and will get democracy killed. President Cotton/Hawley/Trump Jr. is the end for all of us if they let it happen. I fear a republican senate and house in 2022 more than the odds of one of those three becoming president. they'd be lucky to have a fraction of the turnout that Donald has. without getting too loose I'm comfortable saying that Donald was a perfect storm and the flailing that we're seeing is the last convulsions of the regime.
