Not meaning to defend wreckless capitalism here but if you run a private business and you are contractually obligated to terms and you renege on those terms for over a year, like what should happen? I'd want to know what was the lead up to this event.
Not sure how it is in Texas, but at least in some parts of Southern California you can't be sued to pay rent from over a year ago. That's more of a tenant thing than a business one, so I'm not sure about this specific situation.
