As her and I have discussed in the past, when you're raised with a mix of heavy servings from any of the 4 main flavors of abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, substance), your baseline settings for what you're willing to accept as "normal" can be severely warped going into adulthood. Most people don't realize at 15 how abnormal their abusive surroundings are.
