Detroit is a fucking great place. I was born and raised in Detroit for the first 15 years of my life. It COMPLETELY depends on what part of the city you're in, as there are still very dangerous areas. You sound like someone who watched a documentary on Detroit's historical richness and just drew a conclusion from there. --- I don't hold grudges.
