TopicDumb Thing You Did As A Kid?

Looking back, I don't think I did anything particularly stupid as a kid, but there were some exceptionally crazy things I did. Probably the biggest is when I was probably around 5, back at catholic school. There was a paved lot between the school building and the church, and accessible to that was the small alcove of the bell tower. The rope, I couldn't pull it as I wasn't strong or heavy enough (I was a scrawny kid), and looking up it got dark before I could see all the way, and I wanted a closer look at what was up there...

So I climbed. Back home, I sometimes amused myself by climbing up the doorways by bracing my hands and feet on the sides. Rather than using the bell rope, which hurt my hands, I used an adaptation of my doorway climbing method, bracing my feet on one side and my back against the other. By bracing my hands on the wall behind me and inching my back up, then repositioning my feet, I slowly made my way up.

I was probably around three stories high when my sister discovered what I was doing and totally freaked out. IIRC she first demanded I get down, but instead instructed me to stay put and alerted the staff. Never being one to comply with instructions to stay still, I had already made my way down by the time the firetrucks arrived.

This was likely a big part (but not the only part) of how I got kicked out of catholic school as a child.
