You can add a + to the end of most emails before the @ so you can tell where bots come from or filter all emails to that address.

For example, if you sign up for a bank you could make your email
[email protected]

(Please note mods, this is an example and I have no idea if it's a real email address)

Oh I'm actually talking about physical mail, that's a good tip tho
