Current American conservatism sees everything as political.

I don't disagree, and that's why things are so bad. A lot of things shouldn't be political, but politicians can basically will them into being politicized.

But liberals and conservatives politicize different things, and centrists are here trying to not politicize anything, and I think that ultimately the politicization from liberals annoys them more. Not that I'm saying that's right. Conservatives also have a dastardly way of using their politicization to mask that they've politicized things. They're the only ones that debate that climate change exists, but by denying that it exists they can say stuff like "don't let those liberals tell you there's something wrong with driving that truck, there's no such thing as climate change" and the naive person buys it.

Or covid obviously. Liberals are the ones that want to have all these rules! Even though they follow pretty standard and common pandemic guidelines from medical professionals, they're political now. Conservatives just want everyone to live their lives, liberals wanna impose all these rules on you and make covid political. Not what I believe but what they tell centrists.
