I decided to return the Tissot and I did buy a Hamilton jazzmaster.

Maybe it isn't defective, but when turning the hands the date would change around 10:10, and while I didn't track wearing it exactly I know I checked at 11:30 pm one day and the date had changed.

This hamilton, when setting, the date switches over almost exactly at midnight. I'll see in a little if the date does change at midnight or before(just got it today). Though this is talking about moving the hands and not using the quick date feature that just cycles through the numbers. I don't know if it makes a difference but one video I watched the guy said he will quick change the date(outside of the danger zone of 9PM-2AM or so) to the day before, then turn the hands to set it and have it advance one day that way. So, thats why rather than using the quick change I am just turning the hands.

Maybe there was no defect with the Tissot and I am just inexperienced with automatic watches. But I noticed the date had switched at 11:30(not sure when it actually did change) one night, and even if it isn't defective I don't particularly want something that inaccurate.
