My only reference is the time the WWF/E went "public" and let people buy into their stock. I legit don't know how this whole thing works. Like, the WWE didn't use to have stock you could buy, but then you could. Is most companies "public" as in you can buy stock? Going public is way for a company to accumulate capital to grow by offering equity for sell to the public through public exchanges(and for ownership to profit off the growth they've already accomplished).
