TopicWhat's the best Star Wars film outside of the original trilogy?

Rogue One but here's why:

It didn't stray from the original trilogy.
It didn't introduce characters that didn't have an integral role in the story to play.
It fleshed out details of the original trilogy.
It was airtight (as in, all the characters would not reappear in canon)
It had clean special effects that were not distracting or superfluous.
It had quality, modern cinematography, including film pacing.
It's art style matched the original Star Wars film.

I also liked Solo but it didn't follow the rules of a prequel. Though I think the actor did a good job portraying Han Solo as a character, he was the least interesting character in the entire movie. This movie made me want a movie that highlights Qi'ra's story, I cared less about Han.

Really, TC is making us choose between only two movies. One of which leaned into the original trilogy, and the other leaned out to define one of it's characters.

Though I like the Mandalorian as a series, I'm not sure exactly how it all will pan out after season 2 so the verdict is still out on that one. I also want to use this topic as a chance for me to express that I think The Clone Wars is the best supplemental Star Wars media outside of the movies.
