| Topic | Weekly reminder that Cyberpunk 2077 is a 4/10 game |
| Darmik 12/30/20 10:46:55 PM #50: | SwayM posted... Spawning shit outside the players view is literally how a lot of games need to function in order to to not grind to a halt. No GTA is rendering a whole city and all the NPCs all at once. they all do this same shit. They also all still have the same weird physics thing where the second you get in a car, that same car then is WAY more likely to appear. You're not getting the complaint if this is what you think the issue is. The problem is the game doesn't hide it at all and it's obvious. All racing games have a form of rubber banding but that doesn't mean it's always done well. SwayM posted... It took them how many games to figure out how stop the AI from Getting impatient with you if you stopped at a red light and followed actual traffic rules. They used to try and ram you or get around you at red lights. And Cyberpunk 2077 AI does absolutely nothing. They sit there. That's it. There is no AI for the traffic. It's on rails and will stop if you block them. That's the complaint. SwayM posted... Pedestrians in GTA arent going to have important lines of dialogue. You cant even talk to them. You can make them spill lines like some kind of toy with a pull string...but you know thats all they are. That's literally what they are in Cyberpunk 2077. You press a button and they say one or two lines. Why does this prompt even exist? GTA pedestrians actually say more and they don't have a prompt! SwayM posted... one developer has 23 years of experience making the same type of game. The expectations that CDPR should be able to create a clone of that their first time at bat is nonsense. Again, this isnt a free slate to make legitimately bad AI and broken systems. This is me telling you not to lump nitpicks in with complaints. Except as pointed out GTA3 did this better. When I blocked traffic in GTA3 someone stole the truck in front of me and ran over pedestrians as they flee. This cannot happen in Cyberpunk 2077 because the AI literally only do nothing or flee. --- Kind Regards, Darmik ... Copied to Clipboard! |
