I can agree the fights can be drawn out and repetitive after a while but at least you can switch between combat styles and the core combat is good, while The Witchers combat is just bad.
even with the different movesets, Yakuza 0's fights all felt the same, for me, while you had to employ different strategies In Witcher 3 for different types of enemies.

I didn't really care for either Witcher 3 or Yakuza 0's combat, but I felt that Witcher 3's had more depth to it.

in the end, the quality of a story is a personal thing, but it felt too much like a soap opera, and didn't do anything for me.

I also didn't like it as a prequel - I'm not saying that it's a bad game, but in the end, Majima's eccentric personality was because he was copying another gangster he admired, and Kiryu and Majima don't even meet until after the credits, smh.
