In the Gregorian western calendar we use today, our days of the week (with the exception of Saturday, named after Roman god Saturn or Greek titan Cronus) are named after Nordic gods and our months (with the exception of July/August named after the Caesars and Sept-Dec symbolizing different numbers and geometric shapes) are named after Roman gods. Both of those societies borrowed their gods from the Greeks.
