So if all these landlords decide to up and leave, what happens to the renters? I think it's at least 40% (probably more) of U.S citizens who rent. That's one hell of a homeless situation that's going to happen if all landlords decide to call it quits all at once.

The people trying to get rid of landlords are only doing that as a step towards either government seizure/redistribution or a housing market collapse to make homes cheaper. It's creating a disaster so they can implement their preferred "fix".
