After clearing Bomb Mans stage and with a bit of confidence restored, I moved on to Fire Mans stage so I could get the weapon needed to give Ice Man a cathartic beatdown (lol).

I probably died on it about 15 times. Some of the precision needed to avoid the obstacles is rather unforgiving, like the obstacles at 1:37. Perhaps the most unwelcome enemies are those little fire guys that shoot up then rain down on you. Overall, I dont have a lot to say about this stage, other than I enjoyed it and the music. Once I got to Fire Man, I died a couple times. It took a couple attempts just to get the timing right. Eventually I made it to him and, with full health, got him to about 50% health remaining. So from there I just traded hits with until he was good and dead. Yes! Now I could finally beat Ice Man!

It was around this time it occurred to me that I hadnt yet used a single weapon to my advantage during the entire playthrough, and I was really not doing myself any favors by just using the buster all the time. But hey, at least its a darn cool weapon.
