You grab your wallet and keys for Shadowfax and head out for the long walk to the parking garage.

[cut to Raven]

Raven turns on the television, but Arella takes the remote and mutes it.

"Um, why-"

"Did you and Rorek," Arella interrupts Raven, "happen to... do something in this room?"

Raven tries not to let her eyes go wide but that's not so easy.

"W-What?" Raven says, also failing to not sound nervous. "No...!"

"Are you sure?" Arella asks, though she seems to already know the answer. "It wasn't just hot in this room, Raven. There was a certain something else to the heat. That pillow looks like it's been gripped pretty tightly."

Raven's eyes go wide as she looks at the pillow in question, and it definitely looks more bunched up compared to the others.

"And you yourself," Arella says. "There's this flushed yet glowing look to your skin."

"Flushed? Mom, I'm gray, it's probably just my normal paleness, and this lighting...!"

Arella has a very serious look on her face as she leans in closer.

"You smoothed your hair out but it's still a bit messy," she says. "And honestly, dear, at this close, I can smell sweat."

Raven groans and grumbles. But then she thinks of something.

"But you didn't hear anything, did you?" she asks.

"Oh, thankfully, no," Arella says with a chuckle as she sits up straight. "I would not have wanted that."

"Then why're you bringing it up to me now?!"

"Because you were hiding it from me," she says. "You could've just been honest earlier about wanting alone time. Didn't we just talk about that?"

"Well I didn't want to notify you that Rorek and I were going off to... do stuff. That's really awkward!"

"But you don't need to act like it's a secret," Arella counters. "I'm not too shy to say that I was a bit of a wild child around your age. I... did things, with young men. I'm sure I've left a hotel room in similar shape."

"I don't want to hear that..." Raven says. "I'm going to take a shower."

"Alright. And if next time you need to go off and have your fun, don't be afraid to just say that, since it'll be obvious anyway."
