For example I watched the Back to the Future trilogy last night on 4k TV. They must have remastered it or something for bluray? I dunno. Whatever may be, I saw so many details I never saw when watching the movies previously because I probably only ever saw it at 720p at best on an old plasma TV from a VHS or sometimes a DVD (but moot anyway, because sucky TV).

Principal Strickland, for example, has a whopping great burn scar on his neck in his first scene in the movie. I've literally never noticed that before.

It's kinda cool how the original film footage was always ultra HD but the home TV tech we all have is just catching up
