It was the day after she died that my brother took her corpse out to my parents' place in Lake City for burial - I was too choked up to say what I wanted to say when I was saying my last goodbyes. Shortly after he left, I listened to the song So Long Old Friend by Desiree Goyette (you'd hear it in the animated special Here Comes Garfield) and when it came to the last line...I was bawling like a baby. --- When ancient man screamed and beat on the ground with sticks, they called it WITCHCRAFT.
