Basically that it's mostly a rehash of 80s cyberpunk themes and culture. Executed with spot-on attention to detail but not really making any attempt to innovate a modern take on the genre aside from the parallels that have been there since Blade Runner and Neuromancer. That might not be a bad thing to the target audience that just wants to revel in the 80s-ness of it all, but it's disappointing to some that they aren't really taking the opportunity to update the genre in any significant way.

so basically it's sticking to the source material a little too much? wonder if this has to do with the cyberpunk brand itself considering red is coming out soon/just released.

like the blunt question here is basically how much of this game is just "Witcher 3 but cyberpunk."
