Maybe like less than half a spin on the knob.

I always stretched my strings by bending opposite ways up and down the fretboard when I put them on the first time. Always seemed to help.

Otherwise not a ton to stop it I don't think. Locking tuners helped a little but not a ton.

I don't even know how to change strings, well I know but I never done it.

I sounds like you tuning knob might need some love.
When did you buy the strings? Also, Nylon or Classical strings are great, don't discount them.

Also, obligatory BWV 1068 referance.

Got the guitar from my bf so I dunno when.

I don't get that reference.
