D. After a long day of work I can come home and turn on something mindless like wrestling or an action movie and immediately stop thinking about all the stresses of the day (most days, anyway)

Sure. I understand that and do the same. Im just saying your thoughts shifts to something else. What it shifts to is very irrelevant/not important so you arent very focused on it. Thats all Im saying.

Now if you are saying what I describes = turning your brain off then that is different. I assumed thats what it meant but when I tell some people that what I was thinking about was not important they respond with wishing they can turn their brain off too.

I always found it strange. Maybe Ive misinterpreted this saying the entire time

I will admit I'm wrong if you prove me wrong.
