Do you really think they did that to save battery life, and not to make people upgrade? Maybe. Maybe not. Many people will still upgrade regardless just to have the new phone. Where many will still keep the older phones as long as they still work well enough... Dikitain posted... I mean, as much hate as I can throw at Apple, I will fully admit they are innovators (for better or worse). They have somehow convinced phone makers that including a 3.5mm audio port on a phone is to wasteful. I mean, wasteful for some. I personally still use headphones jacks...
