I think so, but I wasn't here in May and I don't remember the exact timeline. I think by May, things were mostly under control and we were relaxing a bit and starting to open up travel with neighbouring provinces (who were doing similarly well), though it wasn't until June that the travel restrictions between them really lifted. By comparison, we've now got 150-odd active cases with 10-15 new ones per day as we face our second wave, brought on by somebody who failed to isolate properly after travelling from France. We're not in really bad shape now, by any means, but I think it's still worse than it was in May, largely because it was going quite well in May.

same here in BC, pretty tame on my little Island still but they locked shit down in the whole province anyway, largely because Surrey is full of braindead animals.
