I just tell them the truth, I grew up with a father who regularly got drunk and seeing how he acted when he was drunk was enough for me to never want to drink. Honestly I could have gotten a way worse drunk dad, my dad was simply one of those "happy drunks" and just talked alot more... lol. I know there's a lot of folks who get extremely angry when drunk... luckily my dad wasn't like that but still seeing him drunk often was embarrassing tbh. Made me put off with the whole drinking culture Now if I wanted to get weird looks I just tell people that I don't drink coffee lol.
