Besides Mewtwo? Buddy, Mewtwo started falling off the moment there were other "uber" pokmon to oppose it and the Special split.

Gen 2: Curse Lugia was better. And if you didn't teach Mewtwo Submission before transferring to G/S/C then lol.

Gen 3: Mewtwo lost Submission which was a significant blow. Kyogre completely shat on Mewtwo and Attack Forme Deoxys beat Mewtwo at its own game.

Gen 4: Physical/Special split elevated Groudon above Mewtwo too. Ho-oh also would have been higher if it weren't for fucking Stealth Rock at this point. And of course, God descended upon us mortals and our manmade abomination just wasn't special anymore.

Gen 5: Nothing much changed here. Digimon knockoff legendaries weren't quite the gamechangers previous ones were. And it's debatable how much Mewtwo's new signature move helps. (Just how often was it facing Blissey/Evolite Chansey anyway?)

Gen 6: Oh, Mega Mewtwo! Mewtwo is back on to- *Gets swallowed by Mega Rayquaza.*

Gen 7: Ultra Necrozma definitely beats out Mewtwo. Also Stealth Rock was starting to see less use at this point which helps Ho-oh which was only not better than Mewtwo BECAUSE of Stealth Rock.

Gen 8: lolZacian. But they said they cut out most of the pokmon for balance! Oh? Most of them are back now? lolShadow Rider. Rabbit riding a MLP knockoff outspeeds Mega Mewtwo Y (Oh wait, Mega Evolutions are gone. Sorry Mewtwo.) AND gets a fucking boost every time it nukes something. Leading to a snowball effect that's pretty difficult to stop.
