| CW_McGraw 11/11/20 5:48:45 PM #52: | The stories aren't compelling enough to disguise the lack of meaningful decisions or strategy in the gameplay. The old GBA era Fire Emblem games had the typical bland medieval fantasy JRPG story, but there was a good amount of depth to the gameplay. Stuff like Golden Sun never appealed to me because it had the normal JRPG combat which boils down to pick the best attack. I think if someone reskinned a JRPG into a setting I actually find interesting, I'd probably enjoy myself. A JRPG set in the Godfather or Marvel universe could probably keep me invested. --- ...
