I remember during my second year of college, my bio professor was doing rollcall and told us that if there was a name we preferred to go by, let him know when he called your name. For example, I prefer Jim over James.

This was pretty well understood, until he got to this one dude, who said he went by "Jester".

I'm pretty sure most of that class, professor included, is still laughing.

The professor did not refer to him as Jester. Everyone else did though, in the most mockingly sarcastic tone you could imagine.
