I mean, the earlier games at least had full stories, and characters used to have actual character arcs and themes -- nowadays things just happen for no reason, and you have to play an entire game just for 30 minutes worth of cutscenes at the very end. It's exhausting to care about. Overall, though, I think the worst part is that the actual Disney elements stopped mattering years ago. Nowadays, even Goofy and Donald are mainly cutscene-only and don't really have any input on anything.
