I mean that sentiment didn't seem nearly as strong this time (purely anecdotally), but saying that a "lack" of write-in votes disproves it when the idea put forth by that contingent was always that they weren't going to vote at all seems...silly. FWIW I wrote in Bernie in 2016 and didn't vote this time. Was in California though, so easy for me to do that. Not sure what I would have done in a swing state but it would have either been writing in Bernie, not voting, or voting for Trump.
