So ignore and block work about the same for the person using it, but has a bunch of other problems which make block a shitty system that fucks up more than it helps... Also, as TDC said, it's also that most of the post are in a specific topic. And if the TC of that topic s a person you have blocked, you won't even see the topic. Which is probably why you haven't seen it. But you could have done the same thing with ignore. The only thing block does that ignore doesn't is give other poster the ability to censor other accounts. That is literally the only "benefit". And that's not a benefit at all... JigsawTDC posted... Don't want your content limited? Don't get blocked! Hard when some people like to block you for not agreeing to everything they say. I disagreed with someone and got blocked. If it's an alt account, it's usually fine since they aren't around. But when it's a regular poster, if fucks things up because now the topic has holes in it. You could easily end up posting the same topic again. And you can end up posting the same post even easier since you can't see the other post.
