Gaawa_chan 11/07/20 5:20:36 PM #42:	Beyond the obvious reasons, I think people are more politically engaged these days in general, and what with the pandemic, participating in the election may have been seen as a form of communal activity, I suppose. Mail-in voting is much more appealing than standing in line for hours and hours when you've got work to do anyway. I'm pretty sure this election had one of the highest turnout to eligible voter ratios (if not the highest), but it's hardly a shocking %, just atypical for the USA.
