Mikan's popularity in the DR fandom primarily falls into 2 categories: fanart and fanfic. Fanfic is its own thing and often times characters become a big focus in the community because the game didn't do them justice or underrepresented them (one of the best and most famous DR2 fics is an AU with Twogami as the lead after Teruteru successfully kills Nagito), fanart is focused a lot on design, and I think visually Mikan is a strong character design. I can't say I've seen Mikan actually being a fan favorite in game discussion, it's purely from the Ao3 and Pixiv numbers. --- ACAB ... Copied to Clipboard! |
