Previously, you got 2 years of OS updates and several more years of security patches (which often came bundled with new features). Although Apple will update the OS for several more additional years, they often fail to port over things like new camera features to older devices. The 11 series debuted night mode but the XS generation never got that. The new 12 series gains night mode for all cameras (finally) and I guarantee you that the 11 series will never receive this. Google and Samsung are better at that as they debut new camera features on new devices while trickling them down to older devices with software updates. --- When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. - Confucius ...
