Don't listen to anyone saying Remnant sucks. It's great. And the boss fights do not suck either, they're one of the highlights of the game. The only real frustrating aspect of Remnant is that since the dungeons and encounters are randomly generated for each campaign you roll, you obviously can't get everything in one playthrough. There is an Adventure Mode separate from the campaign for each world that's intended as a means to encounter the things you missed, but it's still random. You could potentially take ages to roll the dungeon or event for an item or gun you really want.

This. The game also starts rather slowly, and gear is slowgoing in the acquisition department at the start. Game picks up when you start getting the non-starter/buff abilities.
