it's a pretty widely understood fact of the party's recent history. i've been to social gatherings with party insiders and listened to them complain about it myself.

in short they are becoming more and more guilty of what mech dragon just described of the Liberals, and what is obviously true of the Democratic Party in the states. a lot of the nice rhetoric and feel-your-pain stuff about standing up for the downtrodden, but when it comes to actual policy, more and more triangulation, compromise and corporate acquiescence. they may be the best we have for now, but that doesn't mean that's good enough.

further, last i checked the party brass has moved to a firmly pro-israel stance with internal critics being harshly rebuked. that's not a socialist foreign policy and enough on its own to justify non-support in federal elections tbh.
