The discussion in regards to free speech on these platforms moved past them being able to use the veil of a private company to stifle speech years ago. There is precedent for them to be regulated, thats what the discussion is about...not whether or not private companies can do whatever they want with speech. Of course they canbut these platforms, especially Twitter, took up the mantle of the modern day public square, and in doing so, should be subject to constitutional standards.
