Well, I'm a linguist (... and a hack), and I can confirm that, but my comment above was a bit tongue-in-cheek (... because I hate FFN and what it does to formatting). For a while it became almost standard that every fantasy novel had to have little poem/song fragments in them (because Tolkien did it).
