The Denton Police Dept has charged him with assault causing bodily injury as the 17 second clip surfaced showing him striking victim, 23 y/o Dan Royce Shochler III and KNOCKED his TOOTH out!! It happened outside a Bucee's convenience store during a MAGA meet-up scheduled for 11:15am when footage showed a mid-confrontation with Lata who wasn't wearing a mask screaming at Schochler to "turn it off" The Song FDT by rappers YG and Nipsey Hussle is heard as trump supporters yelled at the man he shouldn't be here. Lata said "I"ll f*** you up" before turning briefly and then suddenly striking him in the face and said "Get up motherf*****" After a few supporters interene, he corralled away as Schochler remains on the ground Police confirmed he was arrested as an investigation is taking place where Schochler suffered an abrasian below his right eyebrow and a broken tooth When asked why he punched Schochler, Lata said he "snapped" and said he "had enough" of "these people" and that his back talking brought out the worst in him when he finally let go of his anger to punch him. A Gofundme page was set up to raise money for medical bills and any money leftover would be donated to Denton's Food not Bombs and the Audre Lorde Project It has so far raised over 5200 of its 5000 goal.
