Christianity (or whatever you want to call cherrypicking Bible verses while ignoring the rest) is big with Hispanic countries. Stemming from them being colonies of Spain, which pushed Catholicism really, really, really, really hard. At levels no one expects~. I do know this firsthand because of my late stepmother's family. Her brother who supported Obama but turned around and voted for Trump is a hardcore "Christian". Another big factor, I can verify as someone from Florida, is that a good chunk of the Hispanic population are Cubans. Cubans loathe Castro. Castro was "communist" so they seek the opposite of communism. Which is of course, the oligarchy bullshit the Republicans peddle. So yeah.
