| pinky0926 09/30/20 5:49:51 AM #2: | Let's not forget the many comical instances of rape potion in Harry Potter even though JK Rowling often tries to wield the story of her own sexual assault as a weapon in this particular debate. I'm not denigrating her for her being assaulted, or that she should hide or suppress the story. However I don't think it comes across as good faith when she goes down the "believe me, I know about how it feels to be vulnerable, I was raped" line of argument, or the "men are repeatedly mocking me over my rape" line of argument, when her own books make a joke out of the whole thing many times.
