Topic | Serious questions: why are entities apologizing for past racism when |
parabola_master 09/27/20 4:11:40 PM #1: | When literally 95% of people do not accept the apology? I ask because the LA Times recently did this: https://twitter.com/latimes/status/1310226349303373829?s=21 And if you look through a few replies, youll see people rejecting the apology, some telling LA Times to cease to exist, other demanding reparations for adult descendants of slaves, people looking for actionable steps with a timeline, etc. I just dont understand how, in this political climate, spending time on this is better than... not doing it at all? It seems that a company or organization that stays silent will evade criticism than one that does acknowledge it. Hope this makes sense. --- Godel, Escher, Bach ... Copied to Clipboard! |
