Im about an hour north of it, mainly just been to the main downtown area and some random Groupon restaurants. The aquarium is pretty nice, I was disappointed but also its probably the third best aquarium Ive been to and am not sure of a better one in the northeast. (I really like the Dallas World Aquarium and the nearby science museum, those are both impressive.) Id wait until they re-open the dolphin show though. The downtown area around the aquarium is cool enough if you want to walk around the boardwalk and get something to eat, maybe go to an art museum. Ive been wanting to do some ship tours or try sailing down there. I like D.C.s boardwalk better, but D.C.s is also newer.
