Dailymail received a statement from Kristin Gilger, the interim dean and had denied that she was fired as station manager adding that it was an ongoing situation and she remains an employee Leaked emails however show that the deal is telling Klein that her staying is not an option after she included a link from the New York Post describing the reason the 911 call was made that led to Wisconsin Cops with the encounter stating that Blake had a felony warrant for sexual assault and the victim in the case had called 911 stating he was violating a restraining order and stolen her car keys She wrote "Always more to the story, folks. You'll be quite disgusted and not as sympathetic on this shooting" That caused massive outrage with a petition calling for her firing as one student said her blatant facts are biased The Blaze's Radio 6 member board voted to remove her but because they didn't have the power to appoint or actually remove her, she refused to step down as she insisted she did nothing wrong. Gilger wrote that her staying on was not an option but that she could take on another position and says she remains an employee just not as station manager Klein is fighting back stating she was shocked by the allegations an said "I was reading through it and i just thought it was super interesting and enlightening and a part of the story we haven't been told yet. I was just trying to do A, what i was assigned to do and B, what i thought was my job as a journalist which is to share this important part of the story that a man who was shot was someone convicted of sexual assault" She said she aspired to be a journalist and the job of one was to deliver the full truth and the whole truth and nothing but the truth and said him being a criminal was relevant to the shooting.
