Ironically, you're telling me to stop having opinions about other people having opinions. It's a pretty silly argument, inherently, and I don't think it's worth discussing.

Because at the end of the day, people like it when celebrities agree with them and preach about it--and they dislike it when celebrities disagree with them and preach about it. It's natural. You want more people speaking for "your team" and fewer people speaking for "their team."

And if you're just watching a sports game of some kind, and somebody makes some big deal about a by-the-numbers generic political opinion from the other side that you've heard a trillion times before, you're probably going to be annoyed.

Is removing confederate flags "making a big deal"? As in, is their presence so key to the enjoyment of Nascar driving?
