All of the developers they've bought have said that Microsoft basically leaves them alone, InXile have spent the last year basically expanding to being a AAA studio (damn Microsoft really wants to be a WRPG powerhouse this gen). Of course the big risk is the leadership changing. Which is a risk for any large organization like Microsoft. Then things can go dire really quickly. If Xbox gains good revenue over the next few years they should be safe. It's interesting how many IP's are available to all of these studios now. Obsidian making a new Fallout is obvious. But stuff like Arkane making Perfect Dark makes sense. Or if 343 really fuck up Halo give id Software or MachineGames a go. --- Kind Regards, Darmik ... Copied to Clipboard! |
